Sister taxon: Afrapia variicornis

Type specimen: BP/2/28003(BP/2/28069), an exoskeleton (mostly complete, lacking legs & hindwings). Its type locality is Orapa (Bernard Price Institute), which is in a Turonian lacustrine - large mudstone in Botswana.

Distribution: found only at Orapa (Bernard Price Institute)
