Type specimen: BMNH I.12245, a wing. Its type locality is Durlston Bay, Middle Purbeck, Swanage (Brodie collection), which is in a Berriasian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in the Durlston Formation of the United Kingdom.
