Sister taxa: none

Type specimen: LACM 120455a, a partial skeleton (Skull lacking the ventral braincase and portions of the occiput and left temporal regions; and the anteriormost four cervical vertebrae). Its type locality is Jim's Place Quarry, FPA, which is in a Tithonian pond siliciclastic in the Morrison Formation of Colorado.
