Type specimen: AMNH 3219, a partial skeleton (Right dentary with associated cranial fragments and partial postcranial skeleton). Its type locality is Estancia Las Violetas, which is in a Danian terrestrial sandstone in the Salamanca Formation of Argentina.
Ecology: carnivore
Distribution: found only at Estancia Las Violetas
