Sister taxon: Planocrania hengdongensis
Type specimen: IVPP V.5016, a partial skull. Its type locality is Nanhsiung, which is in a Tiffanian terrestrial horizon in the Nongshan Formation of China.
Ecology: planktonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Nanhsiung
