Type specimen: PM TGU no. 16/2-50, a maxilla (fragmentary left maxilla with the canine, P1–P5, and M1–M3). Its type locality is Shestakovo-3, which is in a Barremian/Aptian fluvial-lacustrine sandstone/siltstone in the Ilek Formation of the Russian Federation.
