Type specimen: IVPP V14493, a mandible (Left dentary with incisor, p2–p4, and m1). Its type locality is Badaohao coal mine, which is in an Aptian/Albian fluvial-lacustrine mudstone/conglomerate in the Shahai Formation of China.
