Type specimen: IVPP V14504, a maxilla (fragment of left maxilla with two premolars (probably P1 and P3). Its type locality is Badaohao coal mine, which is in an Aptian/Albian fluvial-lacustrine mudstone/conglomerate in the Shahai Formation of China.

Ecology: arboreal herbivore

Distribution: found only at Badaohao coal mine
