Type specimen: IVPP V 7480, a mandible (a nearly complete right dentary containing p1–4, m1–6). Its type locality is Badaohao coal mine, which is in an Aptian/Albian fluvial-lacustrine mudstone/conglomerate in the Shahai Formation of China.

Ecology: scansorial insectivore

Distribution: found only at Badaohao coal mine
