Sister taxa: none

Type specimen: BMNH M 54386, a mandible (an incomplete right dentary with: alveoli for p1 and dp2; substantially incomplete dp3 (but see discussion below with regard to the anterior dentition); partial). Its type locality is Yaverland bed 38, which is in a Barremian crevasse splay conglomerate in the Wessex Formation of the United Kingdom.
