Polycystinea - Spumellaria - Hagiastridae

Description: Test having short, wide rays and small central cavity. Rays ellipsoidal in axial section, comprised of irregularly arranged and somewhat variably sized polygonal pore frames. Distal portion of

rays rounded with short, massive primary spines. Primary spines circular in axial section, one spine slightly longer than other three. Central area slightly depressed, cortical shell with small pentagonal and hexagonal pore frames. Test with or without patagium.

Type specimen: NMNS (000025). Its type locality is Suplee-Izee area, OR-600A, which is in a Toarcian marine tuff/limestone in the Hyde Formation of Oregon.

• Jurassic of United States (6: Oregon collections)
