Sister taxon: Titanodictya jucunda
Type specimen: UNM 6863, a wing (wing apex). Its type locality is NMMNH L-3433; Carrizo Arroyo (UNM collection), which is in an Asselian pond mudstone in the Bursum Formation of New Mexico.
