Sister taxa: Camarocarcinus obtusus, Camarocarcinus quinquetuberculatus

Type specimen: USNM 562093, a carapace. Its type locality is West side of road, west of Moffit, which is in a Danian marine sandstone in the Cannonball Formation of North Dakota.

Ecology: semi-infaunal carnivore

Distribution:

• Paleocene of United States (4: North Dakota collections)

Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
