Type specimen: USNM 484555, a carapace. Its type locality is USGS 26879, Martin Marietta Georgetown quarry, which is in a Lutetian carbonate limestone in the Santee Formation of South Carolina.

Ecology: semi-infaunal carnivore

Distribution: found only at USGS 26879, Martin Marietta Georgetown quarry
