Type specimen: USNM 484575, a carapace. Its type locality is USGS 26883, Martin Marietta Berkeley quarry, which is in a Lutetian carbonate limestone in the Santee Formation of South Carolina.
Ecology: epifaunal carnivore
Distribution: found only at USGS 26883, Martin Marietta Berkeley quarry
