Type specimen: LACM 2569, a limb element (right femur). Its type locality is Five Points Freeway, which is in a Piacenzian/Gelasian coastal sandstone in the San Diego Formation of California.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Five Points Freeway
