Type specimen: USNM 401914. Its type locality is BPW80-30, San Hipolito Fm, Vizcaino Peninsula, Baja California Sur, which is in a Pliensbachian slope sandstone/lime mudstone in the San Hipolito Formation of Mexico.

Ecology: passively mobile planktonic omnivore
