Sister taxa: Hylomys peguensis, Hylomys suillus, Neotetracus butleri
Type specimen: T Li 113, a tooth (M3/). Its type locality is Li Mae Long, which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial horizon in Thailand.
Ecology: semifossorial insectivore-carnivore
Distribution: found only at Li Mae Long
