Type specimen: USNM 58688, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Wilson's Ranch, Florissant (Cockerell coll), which is in an Eocene lacustrine - large horizon in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.

Distribution: found only at Wilson's Ranch, Florissant (Cockerell coll)
