Type specimen: BMNH R1443, a partial shell (the near entire penultimate marginal of the left side). Its type locality is Hordle Cliff Crocodile Bed, Hampshire, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial sandstone/claystone in the Headon Beds Formation of the United Kingdom.

Ecology: aquatic omnivore

Distribution: found only at Hordle Cliff Crocodile Bed, Hampshire
