Type specimen: NHMG 009318 (Guangxi Natural History Museum, Zoology Collection), a partial skull (a partial skull and lower jaws). Its type locality is Nankang road cut, which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial mudstone/sandstone in China.

Ecology: planktonic suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at Nankang road cut
