Type specimen: MIWG 3480; (cast BMNH R 8990), a skull (almost complete skull and lower jaw). Its type locality is SW Isle of Wight, Lower Lobster Beds, which is in an Aptian marine horizon in the Atherfield Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.

Ecology: aquatic omnivore

Distribution: found only at SW Isle of Wight, Lower Lobster Beds
