Type specimen: PIN 2094/927, an exoskeleton (female beetle without legs). Its type locality is Bembridge marls, east end of Thorness Bay, which is in a Priabonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Bouldnor Formation of the United Kingdom.
