Sister taxon: Hirneacrinus cupellaeformis
Type specimen: FMNH UC 33686 (Dorsal Cup). Its type locality is Adams Quarry, which is in a Wenlock marine limestone in Indiana.
Ecology: stationary upper-level epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution:
• Silurian of United States (3: Indiana collections)
Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
