Type specimen: USNM 124173, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is West of Rough Creek, Dove Mountain quadrangle, which is in a Serpukhovian marine claystone in the Tesnus Formation of Texas.

Distribution: found only at West of Rough Creek, Dove Mountain quadrangle
