Type specimen: PKUP V0601, a skeleton (a nearly complete skeleton exposed in ventral view). Its type locality is Guancaishan, near Jianping, which is in an Oxfordian lacustrine - large ash in the Tiaojishan Formation of China.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at Guancaishan, near Jianping
