Type specimen: B.E.G. P-7581. Its type locality is B.E.G. 119-T-8 (L-13), Rock Island Railroad cut, southeast of Jacksboro, which is in a Gzhelian marine shale in the Graham Formation of Texas.

Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore
