Type specimen: NMS G 1988.3.1, a partial skeleton (articulated skull and anterior trunk). Its type locality is East Kirkton site (Units 70-82: East Kirkton Limestone), which is in a Brigantian spring shale/limestone in the East Kirkton Limestone Formation of the United Kingdom.

Distribution: found only at East Kirkton site (Units 70-82: East Kirkton Limestone)
