Type specimen: ISI R274, a set of postcrania (fragmentary ?dorsal vertebra, proximal caudal vertebra, distal right femur, right tibia and astragalus, right metatarsals II-IV, 2 pedal phalanges). Its type locality is 3 km north of Jaklapalli village (ISIR 274), which is in a Norian terrestrial horizon in the Maleri Formation of India.
