Sister taxa: Hsisosuchus chungkingensis, Hsisosuchus dashanpuensis
Type specimen: ZDM 0146, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Zigong Dairy Factory, Huidong, which is in a Bathonian/Callovian terrestrial mudstone in the Shaximiao Formation of China.
Ecology: carnivore
Distribution: found only at Zigong Dairy Factory, Huidong
