Type specimen: FMNH PF2520, a skeleton. Its type locality is Logan Quarry, Level J, Reserve Township, which is in a Moscovian marine shale in the Staunton Formation of Indiana.

• Carboniferous of United States (3: Indiana, Kansas, South Dakota collections)
