Type specimens:
- Eodromus agilis: 4072, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Grube Messel Pit (Museum Darmstadt Collection), which is in a MP 11 crater lake claystone in the Messel Formation of Germany.
- Eodromus aeneocupreus: Its type locality is Geiseltal (Halle collection), which is in a Lutetian mire/swamp lignite/shale in Germany.
