Type specimen: USNM 85562. Its type locality is Johns Valley Shale, Ouachita Mountains loc. 6, which is in a Pennsylvanian marine shale in the Johns Valley Formation of Oklahoma.

Ecology: epifaunal detritivore-grazer

Distribution:

• Carboniferous of United States (2: Oklahoma, Texas collections)
