Sister taxon: Gingerichia hystrix

Type specimen: UM 83932, a mandible (Left dentary with p4m1–3 and alveoli for p2–3). Its type locality is Douglass Quarry, which is in a Tiffanian terrestrial horizon in Montana.

Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore

Distribution:

• Paleocene of United States (2: Montana collections)

Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
