Sister taxa: Szaboa inermis, Szaboa lamarei

Type specimen: MAB k. 3165, a carapace. Its type locality is Groß Pampau gravel pit, which is in a Chattian transition zone/lower shoreface sandstone in the Ratzeburg Formation of Germany.

Ecology: semi-infaunal carnivore

Distribution: found only at Groß Pampau gravel pit
