Sister taxon: Asmithwoodwardia subtrigona

Type specimen: DGM 358-M, a skull (Badly crushed but near complete skull). Its type locality is São José de Itaborai, which is in an Eocene fissure fill marl in the Itaboraí Formation of Brazil.

Ecology: scansorial herbivore

Distribution: found only at São José de Itaborai
