Type specimens:

  • Bottosaurus harlani: ANSP 9226 and 9227, a mandible (Portions of dentary and angular). Its type locality is Birmingham (general) (Hornerstown Fm.), which is in a Maastrichtian/Paleocene terrestrial horizon in the Hornerstown Formation of New Jersey.
  • Crocodilus macrorhynchus:
