Sister taxa: Nototherium dunense, Nototherium mitchelli, Nototherium tasmanicus, Nototherium victoriae

Type specimen: No. F.36311, a mandible (left half of the mandible). Its type locality is Waiganda, which is in a Pliocene/Pleistocene lacustrine horizon in Papua New Guinea.

Ecology: scansorial omnivore
