Sister taxa: Propleopus oscillans, Propleopus wellingtonensis

Type specimen: NMV P15917, a maxilla (right maxillary fragment with erupting P3, rear face of hypoloph of M2, M3-4 and protoloph of M5.). Its type locality is Chillagoe fissure fill deposits, which is in a Pleistocene fissure fill horizon in the Chillagoe Formation of Australia.

Ecology: scansorial omnivore

Distribution: found only at Chillagoe fissure fill deposits
