Type specimen: PMO 216.839, a partial skeleton (semiarticulated skeleton of a juvenile plesiosaur including a partial lower jaw and incomplete left quadrate and squamosal; a partial cervical and dorsal verteb). Its type locality is The northeastern slope of Janusfjellet (Djupedalia engeri type), which is in a Tithonian deep-water mudstone in the Agardhfjellet Formation of Norway.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution: found only at The northeastern slope of Janusfjellet (Djupedalia engeri type)
