Type specimen: AMNH 5700, a skeleton (Detailed impression of the body, lacking anterior half of skull and pectoral fins). Its type locality is Dolores River Canyon fish locality A, which is in a Norian/Rhaetian channel siltstone in the Chinle Formation of Colorado.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Distribution:
• Triassic of United States (2: Colorado, Utah collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
