Type specimen: NMMNH P-16888, a skull (Basisphenoid). Its type locality is NMMNH Loc. 001, Revuelto Creek, which is in a Norian fine channel fill sandstone in the Bull Canyon Formation of New Mexico.

• Triassic of United States (2: New Mexico, Texas collections)
