Type specimen: IVPP V17083, a skull (Skull and anterior portion of neck). Its type locality is Sihedang, Lingyuan, which is in an Aptian lacustrine mudstone/shale in the Jiufotang Formation of China.
Ecology: volant piscivore
Distribution: found only at Sihedang, Lingyuan
