Sister taxa: Ceratites sigmatoideus, Olenikites canadensis, Olenikites mangyshlakensis, Olenikites spiniplicatus, Olenikites subtilis, Olenikites triton
Type specimen: GSC 18852. Its type locality is USGS M622, Saurian Hill, which is in an Illyrian basinal (carbonate) limestone/siltstone in the Prida Formation of Nevada.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
