Sister taxon: Gurvanopteryx impleta

Type specimen: PIN 3149/507, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Gurvan-Ereny-Nuruu (Outcrop 236/29), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large shale/sandstone in the Gurvan-Eren Formation of Mongolia.

Ecology: volant detritivore-omnivore

Distribution: found only at Gurvan-Ereny-Nuruu (Outcrop 236/29)
