Belongs to Thanamites according to E. T. Tozer 1994
Sister taxa: Thanamites bicuspidatus, Thanamites contractus, Thanamites parvus
Type specimen: GSC 9046. Its type locality is GSC 9131, Beattie Ledge, which is in a Longobardian marine siltstone in the Toad Formation of Canada.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Average measurements (in mm): shell diameter 28.9
Distribution:
• Triassic of Canada (4: British Columbia collections)
Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
