Type specimen: Holotype: p.m. 967; coord. 46.5/93.1. Stored at Museo de La Plata, Paleobotanical division., a microspore (Pollen grain). Its type locality is Bajada de Hansen, which is in a Paleocene terrestrial shale in Argentina.
