Belongs to Pachyrhyphus according to V. G. Kovalev 1986
Sister taxa: Pachyrhyphus malus, Pachyrhyphus transbaicalicus
Type specimen: PIN 3560/1, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Boro-Nuruu (Outcrop 239/3), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large shale/sandstone in the Gurvan-Eren Formation of Mongolia.
