Type specimen: ZDM 1, a partial skeleton (Skull, mandibles & several vertebrae). Its type locality is Dashanpu Dinosaur Quarry [lower], which is in a Bajocian/Oxfordian lacustrine sandstone/mudstone in the Shaximiao Formation of China.

Ecology: amphibious carnivore

Distribution: found only at Dashanpu Dinosaur Quarry [lower]
