Type specimen: UCMP 10254, a tooth. Its type locality is Cottonwood Canyon, west Humboldt Range, which is in an Anisian/Ladinian marine horizon in Nevada.

Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Cottonwood Canyon, west Humboldt Range
